RHS AND HEATHCOTE & IVORY FOR TOILETRIES COLLECTION

Creams and body washes, soap, fragrance and accessories presented in RHS Lindley Collections artwork

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced the arrival in 2020 of the RHS Flower Blooms Lavender Garden collection of toiletries and accessories – the latest range in a highly successful RHS partnership with leading British beauty and fine toiletries company Heathcote & Ivory.

This collection, the third in the RHS Flower Blooms series, contains shower gel, scented soap, body lotion and hand cream as well as a set of three hand creams and a weekend away bag containing body wash and body lotion. Accessories include garden drawer liners, pillow mist and a lavender-filled eye mask. All the items in the collection offer bespoke formulations blended with botanical extracts of wisteria and lilac with Lavandula essential oil.

The items also make stunning use of beautiful lavender-themed designs inspired by artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections, the world’s largest collection of botanical art. However, not just the designs but the fragrance itself has been inspired by the RHS – or rather by a visit from Heathcote & Ivory fragrance experts to RHS Garden Wisley, during which they found the perfect lavender fragrance from one of the lavender plants they saw that day – Lavandula × intermedia ‘Olympia’. From this inspiration, Heathcote & Ivory have crafted a fresh aromatic lavender fragrance with additional notes of rosemary and eucalyptus to refresh, revitalise and soothe the mind.

The wash and lotion bottles add an elegant additional touch: the iconic RHS tree logo is included in the design, which creates a two-tree relief pattern where the RHS tree mirrors itself.

RHS Flower Blooms Lavender Garden launches at retail in spring 2020. The range will also be previewed at Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham from 2-6 February 2020 at the Heathcote & Ivory stand (Hall 3 Q10-R11). Heathcote & Ivory will be targeting leading department stores and garden centres, all of which are among the regular stockists of Heathcote & Ivory products. The range will also be available online at heathcote-ivory.com

The toiletries and accessories are expected to appeal to a wide range of consumers, in particular those with an interest in gardens and gardening, interiors and stylish modern living, as well as botanical-inspired beauty and toiletries. The ranges are also expected to enjoy a strong response from gift buyers of all ages.

Established in London in 2000 by Denis Aaronson, Heathcote & Ivory has grown into a lifestyle brand exporting around the world to over 35 countries. Heathcote & Ivory collections are stocked in renowned department stores across the UK as well as independent boutiques and speciality retailers.

The RHS Flower Blooms Lavender Garden collection is the latest range from the RHS partnership with Heathcote & Ivory. The partnership launched in spring 2019 with Flower Blooms Daisy Garland and Tender Palm, two ranges comprising gift sets of washes, lotions and creams for hand and body as well as standalone shower gels, body lotions and hand creams. Trellis, the second in the RHS Flower Blooms series, launched in the autumn of this year.

Denis Aaronson, Managing Director, Heathcote & Ivory, says: “RHS has been a welcome addition to our select licencing portfolio of some of the UK’s leading design and lifestyle brands. The resources of the RHS Lindley Collections and the strength of the RHS brand have been perfect inspiration for this gorgeous lavender-themed collection ”

Cathy Snow, Licensing Manager, RHS, says: “Lavender is a much-loved fragrance and a popular plant among gardeners – an ideal inspiration for the RHS Flower Blooms Lavender Garden collection. Our partnership with Heathcote & Ivory has already inspired some wonderful collections and this range is no exception.”
