Portland-based roaster debuts special edition coffee with the ‘Godfather of Punk’
Stumptown Coffee Roasters, the pioneering Portland-based company, launches their collaboration with Iggy Popwith a special edition coffee on June 13. The coffee roaster and cold brewer partnered with the prolific musician and artist on a limited coffee with a bag designed by Pop himself as well as a video by in house creative, Tim Wenzel.
“Stumptown has always felt a connection with the Godfather of Punk and his artistic pursuits, and we were honored to collaborate on this project with him.” says Mallory Pilcher, Head of Brand.
The limited edition coffee is produced by the Bies Penantan community – located in the province of Aceh, Sumatra – and specially assembled for Stumptown by the woman-led Ketiara Cooperative. Stumptown has been working with Ketiara for six years, around the same time the cooperative became certified organic. This year’s lot has notes of dates, nutmeg and a long, chocolatey finish.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of this bag will go to the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, an international network of organizations which work towards empowering youth who experience gender-based oppression through the radical prism of music.
The special edition coffee will launch on June 13, 2019 and will cost $19. It will be available in all Stumptown cafes and at stumptowncoffee.com.
The partnership was brokered by ALG Brands.
